Dr. Raban Fuhrmann

Dr. Raban Daniel Fuhrmann accompanies reform processes in politics, business and civil society as a locally and internationally active process expert. He is owner of the ReformAgency for process consulting and director of the Academy Learning-Democracy (with Democracy International). At the Global Ethic Institute he researches and teaches on governance, leadership and democracy. In addition, he supports the World Citizen School and the Executive Education Program Ethics-First as a program developer, and he supports the Global Ethic Institute as Chairman of the Board of Friends of the Global Ethic Institute. He studied in Heidelberg and Konstanz: economics, politics and sociology, did research at the universities of Leipzig, Boston and Bielefeld, received his doctorate from the University of Witten-Herdecke as Dr. rer. pol. on “Procedural Politics” and is now devoting his research to the foundation of a procedural science (procedurology). After working at universities (including as head of the Department of Organizational Development and Entrepreneurship at the Technical University of Berlin) and as a project developer for NGOs (Pulse of Europe) and foundations (including the Bertelsmann Foundation), he now supports decision-makers from government, business and society as an independent process coach and procedural consultant in shaping their reform and modernization processes. The focus of his scientific and consulting work as a process researcher, process designer and project developer is therefore in the fields of organisational and democratic development to strengthen a learning democracy. Raban Fuhrmann is also the founder and coordinator of Procedere, an R+D network for procedural practice in politics, business and society, field of action representative for corporate culture/ethics at the Swiss Business Forum Lilienberg, programme developer of the StadtmacherAkademie of the vhw Bundesverband für Wohnen und Stadtentwicklung e.V.
