Global Ethic Young
Researcher Fellowship

The Global Ethic Institute at the University of Tübingen is awarding three two-month research fellowships, each worth 5,000 euros, to outstanding female early-career researchers under the age of 35 who conduct research at the intersection of economics, ethics, and society. The fellowships support academically excellent and socially relevant research projects on globally responsible economic activity and coexistence. The fellowships are specifically designed to promote young women in academia.

The fellowships are open to doctoral candidates in the writing phase of their dissertation from the following fields: economics, philosophy, political science, sociology, law, biological, environmental, and geosciences, as well as related disciplines.

Fellowship 1:
System trust in the financial sector

Scholarship from the Global Ethic Institute

Research on trust mechanisms in financial systems, institutional trust, and the social foundations of stable economic systems.

Fellowship 2:
Economic Approaches to Biodiversity

Scholarship in cooperation with global-woods international AG

Development of sustainable economic models for the protection of biodiversity, assessment of ecosystem services, and innovative financing approaches for nature conservation.

Fellowship 3:
Ethics of Artificial Intelligence

Scholarship in cooperation with the Association of Friends of the Global Ethic Institute

Research into the ethical challenges posed by AI technologies in business and society, with a particular focus on responsible AI governance.

  • Above-average academic record (Master’s degree)
  • Research project proposal (max. 3 pages)
  • Curriculum vitae, including a list of publications if applicable
  • Letter of motivation (max. 2 pages)
  • Two letters of recommendation from university faculty members
  • Proof of very good German or English language skills
