Sarah Dahlmann (née Lange) works as an economist and research assistant at the University of Siegen. Her academic career began with studies in business psychology and pluralist economics. Her dissertation, submitted in June 2026, is titled “When the Market Can’t Regulate: Climate Neutrality Between Economic Growth and Social Acceptance.” Sarah likes to describe herself as an economist—because economics can also be eco-friendly. She has received several awards for her academic degrees and her research on model assumptions in climate neutrality scenarios. Her current research focuses on the obstacles and success factors in municipal climate protection, as well as on alternative financing options for nature conservation and climate protection measures. Sarah Dahlmann regularly gives lectures on her research and pluralist economic perspectives for organizations and academies in the field of political education, among others.
