The Weltethos Institute at the University of Tübingen awards two-month research fellowships of 5,000 euros to outstanding early-career researchers under 35 whose work lies at the intersection of business, ethics, and society.
The Young Researcher Fellowship supports scientifically excellent and socially relevant research projects on responsible economic activity and coexistence. The fellowships are aimed in particular at (prospective) doctoral candidates in the initiation or execution phase, from the following disciplines: economics, philosophy, political science, sociology, law, biological, environmental, and earth sciences, and related fields. The Young Researcher Fellowship is awarded to young researchers working in the disciplines listed above who have an interest in ethical questions.
The aim of the Young Researcher Fellowship is not to fund comprehensive research projects. Rather, it is intended to support the initiation, execution, and completion of doctorates.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. The fellowship is awarded on an ongoing basis

Fellows are selected in accordance with the Weltethos Institute’s award guidelines for the Young Researcher Fellowship program. The decisive criteria are the scientific excellence of the research project and its societal relevance to the Weltethos Institute’s areas of focus. The award decision is made by the Director and the Managing Director of the Weltethos Institute.
