Dr. Christopher
Gohl

Christopher Gohl has been the managing director of the Global Ethic Institute since April 2025.

Since 2012, he has been researching and teaching at the Global Ethic Institute at the University of Tübingen on the emergence and impact of values, virtues, norms, and rights, especially human rights; on ethics in business and the economy; and on learning democracy. Between 2005 and 2010, the trained mediator worked as a project manager for the Regional Dialogue Forum Frankfurt Airport, Germany's largest infrastructure mediation, and other organized dialogues, including for the “Science in Dialogue” initiative. He then worked in the field of political strategy in Berlin. After studying political science, American studies, and Jewish studies, Gohl received his doctorate in 2011 from the Department of Political Theory at the University of Potsdam on the professional design of political participation processes, for which he received the Democracy Foundation Award from the University of Cologne. On May 1, 2021, Dr. Christopher Gohl replaced Dr. Christian Jung (FDP) in the Bundestag until the end of the legislative period. Following his term of office, Dr. Gohl resumed his activities at the Global Ethic Institute.

As a driver of social innovation and diversity in practice, the global ethic inspires confidence in the future." Dr. Christopher Gohl
