This course traces the emergence of the ‘Dialogue Among Civilisations’ theme in late-20th century academic and political discourse, before examining two specific dialogical models: Hans Küng’s Projekt Weltethos and Tu Weiming’s ‘Spiritual Humanism’. The role of humanities education in the 21st-century university will also be discussed. | |
