Beschreibung

This course begins with a close reading of John Ruskin’s Unto This Last before branching out to tackle a variety of 20th– and 21st-century world authors on the theme of global economic justice. A common humanistic ‘ethos’ – or at least a harmony of humanistic concern for economic justice – will emerge from these diverse voices. Questions of future economic justice – including the role of artificial intelligence in enabling just (and presently unimaginable) outcomes – will also be explored towards the end of the course.
