Teilnehmerzahl 12 Literaturangaben Enzyklika: Laudato Si Beschreibung In recent years, the field of business and economic ethics has received significant impetus from Catholic Social Teaching (CST). In „Laudato Si”,for example, the reader finds novel answers to important questions concerning the moral responsibilities of business and the promotion of social and environmental sustainability. „Laudato Si“ thus makes compelling reading even for a non-Christian public. The goal of this seminar is to reconstruct the core arguments of these texts with a view to assessing their possible practical impact. The first day of the workshop covers the philosophical and theological underpinnings of CST and introduces students to „Laudato Si“. The second session will then be devoted to close reading of important passages from the text. The presenters, Professors Sison and Dierksmeier, will be committed throughout to a dialogical approach which encourages participation and discussion.
